Day 3 Giveaway: Collection of books and toys - Great for Easter baskets and Birthday Parties!

Day 3 Prize Package:

Family Favorite Books and Toys Collection

One of the things I like to do to keep gift-giving under control and fairly frugal is to keep a "gift box" tucked away in an undisclosed location.  When I find items on sale that I think either my children would like, or little things that would be great for the Brownie troop or for a sudden birthday party invite.  This limits both the stress and the impulse shopping that can accompany it.

But a key to having a good "gift box" is knowing what is in it and to go through the stockpile regularly in order to not waste space or purchase duplicates.  That's where today's prize package come from.  All items are duplicates of things that my kids have really enjoyed.  All are brand new and waiting to be gifted to the special kids in your life.

THE PRIZE:  A great collection of books and toys, perfect for a birthday party or Easter baskets!

I stock up when I find a good sale but other than that I don't have another tip. I keep a gifty box hid away too. I Christmas/birthday shop whenever I find a good sale on something a family member would want and enjoy. Of course, I remember and fill that box January through November and usually totally forget it in December. So, in January again, I'll find gifts I forgot to wrap.

I try and shop year round for things and buy stuff off season. The one year I bought some pretty cool squirt guns with backpacks REALLY cheap. They were really big hits. I also hit the clearence sales after holidays to use the following year.

Lots of times I shop the day after Thanksgiving when they have one time only specials and when the specials are only for a few hours. I also watch for all the sales!

For the last 4 Christmases I have shopped the WalMart after holidays sale. I went on a whim and was astounded at the bargains. Here are some of the bargains:

10 Cars watches for $2.50 each
10 John Deere tins for $1
5 cut glass bowls for $5 each - I filled with miniChristmas ornaments and gave as gifts to friends the next Christmas
10 Xmas tableclothes -- 25 cents eacn
Xmas inflatable $20 regularly $90
Xmas bags 50 cents

I have not purchased a gift for a friend or a teacher at full price in 4 years. I do buy family presents at full price.

I enlist the help of family and friends to be on the look out for deal. More eyes = more deals. I try to pair up coupons with the sales for the maximum deal.

I do surveys and even joined an online community to earn Amazon gc which I combine with free shipping to do most of my Christmas shopping for the kids. Thanks for the chance.

I love to go to stores like Family Dollar or Dollar General for toys and even children's clothing. They have a lot of name brand items for discount prices, I did my daughter's Christmas shopping there last year and not only did I get her a ton of stuff, but she actually loved it all too! Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway!

I hit Target when they have their big toy clearance and stock up for my daughter's December birthday and Christmas.

I would love to be entered! Thanks!

I tend to shop sales quite often and stock up. I have a stash of future gifts hidden under my bed. My young kids have yet to start snooping and discover that location. :-) I love the Target dollar area for stocking stuffers or little Easter basket fillers.

I watch year round for sale items each time I visit the store. Also, try to compare prices online before purchasing and always use a coupon code if available.
