Why this girl picks talking about basketball over make up any day of the week

OK, truth be told...and as loyal readers can attest...I am way more apt to mention sports compared to, say, eye shadow.  Basketball, hockey, baseball, football, soccer, the Olympics and even golf.  Love it, know about it, and encourage the kids to join in.  At different points in my life I've been a player, a coach, a team mom, a spectator and loyal fan (go Red Sox).  I likely overuse sports analogies at the office and with the family.

I blame it on being born smack dab in the middle of March Madness. 

Maybe if I had a really cool makeover I'd change my mind about the whole beauty and fashion thing.  Apologies in advance to my poor daughter, who already calls me out on all this.  Can I love being a mom and wife, without really liking to be a girlie girl?

I stumbled onto a Dartmouth Mens Hockey blogger while at ncaa.com and wanted to share it.  I'm hoping we get to a Dartmouth home game soon.  It is played in our namesake, Thompson Arena.  (for the record, we are totally not related to whoever the big bucks donor was, although we do share the last name).

Now back to planning the annual Superbowl party...
