I know I haven't posted a ton in the last week or so, but I have definitely been working to improve Kids Meal Crowd. Have you seen the scrolling sidebar item that displays buttons and badges from some of my favorite other blogs? I've also spent WAAAY more time than I had expected in cleaning up my blogroll. I'm using BlogRolling to host my blog roll, and I like the fact that I can show you when sites have been recently updated. In the future, I will try to segment the way long blog roll list into theme-based chunks (such as frugal living, mommy blogs, professional development/HR/job search/leadership, nonprofits, etc).
Two more new sidebar items to note: where visitors are coming from, and how many blog "followers" I have. Read more about the followers feature here. I'd love for you to follow, and I've been really happy at how easy it is to "follow" other blogs and appreciate their feeds showing up right on my dashboard.
I've also been trying to market both the Kids Meal Crowd blog and my freelance writing more online. This means visiting more blogs and leaving comments, dropping more Entrecards regularly to earn credits for advertising elsewhere, and spending time writing guest posts. I've got a few in the works, plus will be starting another article for Valley Parents this month. So lots going on!
Oh yeah, and school has started...I've been training to be a new Brownie leader for Sydney's Girl Scout troop, and Connor has just started youth soccer. More on these items in the next week.

Good luck with the Brownie troop! I really wish I had the time to be a troop leader. I know a lot of people enjoy it :)
